Dr. Wendy Huhn earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychobiology from Occidental College in Los Angeles, California, and her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa. She continued her training with an Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Dr. Huhn then went on to complete an Endocrinology and Metabolism Fellowship at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
Board certified in Endocrinology, Dr. Huhn has been a practicing Physician with the Diabetes and Endocrine Center of Orlando since 1992.
Dr. Huhn has experience in the academic arena as well, having served as Clinical Instructor in the Department of Internal Medicine within the Division of Emergency Medicine at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center in Charlottesville.
Active in a multitude of professional organizations, Dr. Huhn is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology and a member of the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, American Diabetes Association, The Endocrine Society, American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and Florida Endocrine Society, among others. Additionally, she is the author of several articles published in peer-reviewed journals and a presenter at national meetings all over the country.
